“<USER_KEY>” is a placeholder for the actual user key of your device. Have a look at this setup flow without a custom server. You just need to replace “accent.ink” with your server’s address. You can also just run your client against my server instead of setting up a custom one.

As for soldering the battery connector, maybe these resources help. You want the GND and VDD3V3 pins.
